Hi, I'm working on rebuilding my 1984 f-250 and I need some help with the wiring. I'm converting from manual locks and windows to powered ones. I took the harness from a 1986 f-150 but it was a mess (only manual controls on driver door the wires were hidden inside the door panel and the passenger side was full power).
I'm wondering what the connector between the switches goes to because it wasn't connected to anything (the wires wrapped in orange go to the lock actuator) and I also took the clock out but the wires were cut so I was wondering where they went to.
then the passenger and driver side had these connectors that weren't hooked to anything and I was also wondering what they were for.
From what I've deduced the pink wires are for the locks and the windows have the multi colored. The speakers have black and black with white but the plug between the lock and window switches I couldn't find where it goes and it's not on the passenger side door wiring
I'm not sure there is a difference, but up through 1985 Ford used stripes, dots, and hash marks on the wires to differentiate wires. But in '86 they dropped the dashes and hash marks in favor of stripes.
But, I see dots and hash marks in your pics. So, is that harness supposedly from the '86?

I was told it was an '86 by my cousin when I asked him about taking parts off of it since it's been setting out rusting and he's going to sell it for scrap soon
