OK so it has come time to get the upgrade. The F150 with EcoBoost did well, but I want more payload and option to go to a 5ver in the future.
Since this will be my daily driver too, I decided to stick with the gas. So this is what I spec'ed out:
2017 F350 SRW CC SB 4x4 Lariat
6.2L w/ 4.30 axel 6 speed auto
LT275/70R 18E BSW All Terain
11,300 GVWR
Lariat Ultimate Package
5th Wheel Prep
Ultimate trailer tow camera system
extended running boards
spray in bedliner
You definitely can. Wish mine had it just for the future.

It's late and I'm tired so I may not be remembering the details right. There is some combination of Superduty that Ford will not put the 5th Wheel Prep on. Maybe it is the 4x2?

The factory 5th wheel prep is not available on the 4x2. The order guide says it is dealer installed, but it is almost impossible to find a dealer, truck accessory shop or hitch shop that will do it. We ended up buying the 5th wheel prep part and we are driving to a hitch shop 1 1/2 hrs north of us to get it installed the first weekend of March.

I ordered my 350 Crew Cab 4x4 with it and its on the invoice. Im sure if it wasn't available they would have told me when I ordered it
I figured since I am ordering it and want to do a fifth wheel in the future I better ask to have it added. Seems like it will be a nice system to have.

It is a great system i had it in my 2011 350drw also have it in my 2014 regular cab 250 and now my 2017 450 i have used the same hitch that came with my 2011 in all 3 trucks.
I think the idea that you can't get it with a short box goes back to when it 1st came out in 2011 back then it had to be a long box but now you can order it with short or long box just not a 4x2 witch makes not sense
Looks great, congratulations!, and not quite 9 weeks. The Caribou is a very nice color, I see some F150's around here with it and the color always draws my eye.
