5" exhaust

I currently have a Pac Brake inline installed on factory exhaust. If I wanted to enhance my current system to 4 or 5 inch, would I have to purchase a new brake to accommodate either size?

Not sure about the brake system, but unless you are going for 600+ HP then anything over the 4" is not going to do anything for you. The 4" exhaust flows much better than the stock due to the design, but 5" is overkill and is more difficult to install due to limited space where the down pipe is at.

In the world where the common belief that bigger is better, this another Goldilocks affair. Many who opted for 5" later expressed a desire to back it off to 4". The note from a 5" is not a pleasant one, installation is a real hassle, many feel it looks disproportionate on a pickup, and there are no gains to be had in performance unless you are going to keep the truck on the track.

I don't know how your Pac Brake is built, but my engine braking is before the down pipe. When placed there, pipe sizes of 3 1/2", 4", or 5" make no difference.

I installed a 4" downpipe. It was a bear to install and it barely fits when everything is in there. I don't know how guys fit a 5" in there.
