Please help. I am trying to get my son's 93 F150, 5.8 going again. There was a problem with parasitic battery drain and was fixed. The truck ran fine for a while but now it will not crank.
Symptoms - turn ignition key, fuel relay operates but no crank. Re-positioned the gear shift lever, attempted to start in Neutral...no good.
New battery (charged), new solenoid (works properly), new starter, new ignition switch. I checked all of the fuses I am aware of (under hood, under dash).
The wire (Red/Blue) going to the S Pin on the solenoid is not receiving 12v when key is turned to start position. When S-Pin is fed with a jumper the truck starts. The Red/Blue wire was traced to the ignition switch and was found to be continuous from the connection to the solenoid.
I honestly don't know where else to check. I have read the various posts and found some great info but nothing to help me from here.
