6.0 No Codes, Hard Start, Smoke
I just bought an early 04 (01/04) and it starts hard when it's cold. It starts just fine when it's warm. It idles a little rough it seems and it's putting out white smoke, but not too thick. There are no codes on the truck.
I performed the "bubble test" and got no bubbles at all. I have found that it is common for oil rail o rings and dummy plugs go bad and I'm being told that is what the problem is.
Could the oil rail seals be the problem? It makes sense to me only because there are no codes and I feel anything else would have thrown a code. Thanks.

Ok so I had Torque Lite and I downloaded Torque Pro and this is what I found:
Codes:
P0269 - Cylinder 4 Contribution/Balance
P0403 - EGR Control Circuit
P0405 - EGR Sensor "A" Circuit Low
P0407 - EGR Sensor "B" Circuit Low
P0488 - EGR Throttle Position Control Range/Performance
P0603 - Internal Module Keep Alive Memory (KAM) Error
P1000 - OBD2 Monitoring Testing Incomplete
The CEL also stayed on after I turned the key on but light turned off after I start the truck.
I also could not find where to monitor the FICM in any way.
I will take the assumption that the EGR codes are due to the EGR delete... Lol
I can also imagine the P0269 Code is just a bad injector?
What would the last two codes be for?
