Hi. Our 350 was ordered 6 Dec and the build date shows 17 Jan. It has been sitting on the ramp in KY supposedly waiting on a part since the 21st of Jan. The ETA to the dealership was end of Jan, then pushed to beginning of Feb, then mid-Feb and now the beginning of March. Does anybody know what's going on? We've been w/o our family truck since early Oct when our 250 was stolen and waited for what seemed like forever to get it totaled. (It was recovered 5 days later, completely defiled--it's a great Hollywood story ) I'm beyond frustrated w/ life w/o a truck.
At the time of order your dealer should have known that at that time there could be an extra wait for something that wasn't available or possibly a shortage of.
When I ordered mine, as soon as they had all the options checked off, the computer gave them a warning that the hitch prep may cause a delay. No reason given why, but that there was a possibility. My dealer made me confirm/accept this before he submitted the order.
Not saying this is your case, but a possibility. I think if your truck gets pulled off the assembly line for any reason, you are screwed. They don't want that assembly line slowed down for any reason.
REPO,
Thank you for your reply. We never got any message from the dealer at the time we ordered. I wish there was more information out there. I've googled just about everything I can think of at this point. Called today for an update and it's supposedly in transit now. WAHOO! It's about time.
If you go to ford's website, and click "contact us" at the bottom of the page, you can start a chat there. If that's not available, go to build and price. It doesn't matter what vehicle you pick. Then, click summary, I think, which is the last window. There will be a chat icon there.
