Looking to get back in a V10

Hi everyone,

So I made the mistake of selling my 99 V10 supercab last year and buying a jeep wrangler. I enjoy the wrangler but its not very family friendly/homeowner friendly and am looking to get back into a V10 for a low cost. Now I live in Alaska where everything seems to just cost more, but does this look like a decent deal?

https://anchorage.craigslist.org/cto/5986319499.html

The first thing that jumps out at me is that it doesn't look like a Lariat to me with the floor shift transfer case (which I prefer) but I am not super up to date on ford packages. I asked for the Vin so I can do a build sheet lookup, where would be the best place to do that?

Thanks everyone and hopefully I will be back in a V10 soon

Not a big fan of camo but nice looking truck. Price seems ok, id be interested to see whats under the seat covers, and really look it over for rust. Make sure the trannys been serviced and the plugs changed (hopefully twice) but im sure you know how tough our beloved v10s are. Good luck!

Nice truck - I've seen some go for similar prices, if not a little less, in our area of the PNW. Is your preference a 2V vs. a 3V truck

Nice looking truck. I would ask if and when the plugs were changed and same with the tyranny. Either one could get spendy.

prefer a 3v, but I am wanting to stay at or under 5,000 so I can just pay cash for it.

Doesn't look bad for the price. I sold my last perfectly good V10 and bought a diesel. That lasted a year and I am back into a V10 again!

I have beef with 99 V10s because of the 2000 and later having the PI heads which IMO is a big deal. Since I have experience with both non-PI and PI head trucks, I can make that comparison but since your last V10 was a 99 maybe it is a non-issue. In the end, at least it is not a 5.4.
