2015 Grille Swap Help

My son bought a 15 F150 Lariat that has the black grille. He wants to install a
Platinum grille # FL3Z-8200-UA .None of the Ford Dealers he called can
confirm it will fit. He has the 5.0 eng. One dealer said something about the air
intake and asked what eng. he had.
Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

All 2015-2017 F150 grills are interchangeable.

That was quick. Thanks. Sometimes I think the Ford parts guys just look at vin numbers
and are unwilling to look further.

I have a 2015 with the 3.5 liter eco engine, and Platinum trim. My engine has a set of baffles behind the grill that open or close based on engine temps. I don't think the 5.0 has those, but I am not sure if certain grills might have those baffles attached. You might want to go to a dealer's and if you can find a '15 Platinum with the 5.0 engine, just park next to it and take some measurements. And bring a flashlight to see the mounting tabs and bolts also. I've had my grill out a few times to install lights; it would be an easy swap.

The 5.0 also has the "air curtains ".
