Swapping grills

I just bought an 04 XLT 4x2 that, of course, has the honeycomb grill.

I don't care for this grill and would rather have the "mean"

grill. You know, the other one.

Has anyone made the swap? Can you provide some tips?

I was looking just to replace the inside part and keep the body colored surround UNLESS I can get a whole "mean"

style grill with a chrome surround. Can I?

Also have the rear blocks if you want to raise the back end.....

If you buy the whole grille from Ford or somewhere else, already painted, it takes all of about 10 minutes to swap out. If you get just the insert I expect it would take a bit longer. Haven't done that myself.

The grill you are looking for is an XL grille, I have an XL and was thinking of changing it for a XLT grille. What color is your truck, I need a Wedgewood Blue.
