My 250 short bed came in late yesterday is being prepped as we speak I went up this morning an installed a couple of the parts I had ordered through the parts desk like bed mat and floor mats. While I was there I checked the hitch and it was 2.5" with one adapter for 2".
Gas or Diesel. I think the 250 gassers were always 2.5's
Yes karl4cat I ordered the standard suspension to try and get the best ride I can. I was responding to babybober who was asking if it was a gas or diesel. I had already stated it was a 6.7. I didn't really want the 3" hitch I would have been happy with the 2" hitch. I had only posted originally since there was a discussion about this topic, so I could let everyone know what was actually being produced since I saw it first hand today when I picked up my new truck. It doesn't matter to me what size the hitch is just letting people what to expect.
We are all waiting to see how the Job 2s will ship. If updated order guide is right, no more 3" hitch on short bed SRW trucks.
Trucks have been prepped with hitches with higher tow weight ratings over their trucks for years and people have been out towing their trucks limits as well. I think Ford is making a mistake dropping the hitch size down on the short bed SRW trucks. That was actually a big selling point for me on my 350 knowing I was getting the 3".
Is job #2 just for hitches or is this a cycle change against many minor updates on the trucks? If it is many minor updates, what are they?
USB jacks in the back of the center console, updated cup holder design, updated bed cleat design. Those are the only 3 changes I've read about for job 2 other than the 3" hitch going away on the SB 6.7's SRW 350 and SB HD 250's which was supposed to change before job 2 began.

So with both of us having moving window sticker dates (2/15 right now), do you think we'll get job #1 or job #2?
