Hey thanks for stopping by I have an 02 just replaced spider boots added reinforcements and have been checking all the boots for leaks they seem pretty dry.

What is the best boost leak tester y'all have made/purchased

Also I know this is not the best idea but today I checked codes before leaving the house low boost
next I cleared them than rolled out 1.5 miles later low boost code.
Thats when I pulled the red line on the wastegate

truck was driving with a noticable power increase
will drive about 7 more easy miles than plug the line back in.
Currenty at my destination 3 miles without waste gate no codes

which wastegatss have y'all used usually pretty big into OEM parts but the truck is tuned (stock turbo/injectors) and wouldn't mind some extra performance but not too much performance aka break other stuff lol

I saw the banks bighead but is preset at 40 psi... this truck is of course fun but I personally don't feel 40 psi is for this exact engine.

What are y'all running and for how long have ya had it

I made a detector similar to this one




Running the stock waste gate with red line disconnected. Just don't go crazy on the throttle and it won't hurt the truck
