Low Boost ??????
Hey guys, I have an early 99 with a 7.3 powerstroke. I finally got my gauges put in. If I on the freeway running 70 mph in over drive I run about 5 pounds of boost. On a wide open throttle run I see about 18 pounds. Thee other day I unplugged the red line on the wastegate on WOT run I only saw about 21 pounds of boost. The truck has the superchips flashpaq and running in performance mode. I know the E99 trucks have a smaller turbo.I've checked theIC tubes and boots for leaks. Is this just the normal amount of boost or what? I really thought I'd see more with the wastegate line off. Any help would be appreciated.

I see about 3psi at 70
23 boost WOT. Red hose hooked up.
Dp tuner.

E99 also has smaller injectors so less drive pressure and less boost so your boost numbers are typical.
Keep in mind that Dan has a 2001 with bigger turbo and injectors so he will have more boost.

that probably as much boost as you will get with OEM injectors, maybe a bit more if you push it. If you get up to around 26psi's then you need the "enialator" to trick your map sensor. to think it isn't pushing that much boost.
