Precision Fuel Pump from Oreilly

Ok I have a 2000 F250 SuperDuty Lariat LWB truck. I was gonna get the motorcarft fuel pump at $439.99. The manager of the store is a friend on mine and has the same truck I have. He said he has worked at most parts stores, advance, autozone. He changed his one time with an advance pump delfi and it didnt last 3 weeks. He said he installed the precision from his oreilly store and nothing 3 years ago it has been fine. He says they sell alot of them and they dont come back for exchange. Price is $187.99

Anybody with experience with this?

I am pulling the bed to replace it.

I don't have any personal experience with the fuel pump on your truck or aftermarket replacements for it, but I would only buy the motorcraft one.

Motorcraft fuel pump for my 6.8l was $303 from Rock Auto last year. With how much of a PITA getting to the pump can be I just spend the money on the Motorcraft.

Installed the precision from Oreilly in my 2000 F250 two years ago, just the pump only, I opened the module assembly and replaced only the pump. Seems like it was just over a hundred bucks. I've installed a lot of them and I've never had a problem with any of them. Easy job, the toughest part was finding a place to put the 35+ gallons of fuel.

Check Oreilly and see if they can order the Motorcraft pump for you or go to Rock Auto and try them. Both are probably cheaper than Ford.

I've had two precision pumps on a ranger and 150 with no problems after a couple years.
Disclaimer, I work at O'Reilly occasionally.

These guys are pretty good for $100 pumps. Haven't had any issues with them thus far.
