My 02 f250 v10 (62k miles) is having some fuel pump issues! Sometimes the pump will kick on and others it won't ? I have change the filter checked the inertia switch and fuse. The dumb *** at the ford dealership even sold me a fuel pump module that my truck doesn't have! What would cause the pump to randomly work?
I have seen in tank pumps work intermittently. I had one in an older Taurus that would do that. It would pump one time and not another. Replaced the pump and it worked fine.
As long as power is consistently getting to the pump, the pump is probably just bad.
Well I was hoping not to have to change the pump. I just checked the fuel pump price online. The price from advance auto was 323.00. I then took the Bosch part # and amazon has them for $166. Has anyone purchased a fuel pump from amazon?
Just called my local O'Riley parts store and they will price match amazon. Looks like a fuel pump it is! Next ? My first choice for a pump is Bosch anyone with a pump brand review?
