Here is my window sticker... Ordered: 12/9, VIN: 1/16, Sticker: 2/8. It took way too much research to pick out this configuration, but I'm sure looking forward to driving it and towing with it!

Was probably built yesterday or today...seems to be typically 6-7 days after window sticker date (2/1/17).

It stays in my garage that doesn't get below 40, so I don't need the block heater. I still like quick heat when I hit the road though.

I figure I won't have power anywhere else I may park it.

Block heater is a option, I am sure someone living in Texas has no use for it

That makes perfect sense. Although I live in OK now, after living in ND and AK I couldn't NOT order the block heater...old habits I guess. Can't wait to gives these 450's a workout.

It's an option in some states and standard equipment in others. I never used it on my current truck but it's so cheap I got it again on this one. Never know what the future will bring. Better to have it an not need it than need it and not have it.

I had the same thoughts, but figured it was one more thing that might leak.

Shouldn't be a problem in today's engines. While I cannot confirm it, most new engines these days have a thread in block heater which is almost guaranteed leak proof. Not like the old days with the style that pushed in with a tiny screw and bar to hold them in place.

Here in Canada I believe the block heater is standard equipment.
Both of my last 2 Dodge duallys came with it. (Never plugged in either of them once)

Didn't plug in my 6.0 last night and with the strange Chicago weather I had an extra cold start
