Hello to all and thank you for the add. I am stumped with a problem. I have a 2005 F350. recently while unhooking a trailer I got interrupted, after the interruption I pulled away from trailer with it still plugged in. So I got a new whip and rewired from trailer side. When I have this trailer plugged in the right reverse light stays on in park and the brakes are not there. This trailer works on other trucks, and other trailers work on my truck. There is two plugs on truck and it does the same in either plug. what might this mean. Thanks in advance
Sorry for the miss understanding, that would be the reverse light on the truck with the one trailer, that trailer works on other trucks and other trailers work on my truck
Okay, here is what you know. The truck works with other trailers. The trailer works with other trucks. When the trailer does not play well with your truck, it is the interface between the truck and trailer as there is no other possibility. I would go back and check my work. You are getting feedback on one of the leads and you lost the power down the blue lead to the trailer. Check you leads one at a time and I am betting you will find the problem. It is possible that that failed disconnect did more than you realized.
The center pin on the 7 wire plug is reverse lights. Make sure you didn't cross it with the brake pin. There are three standards for wiring these things I believe.
If that's right double check connections in your junction box.
