Exclamation 08 Lincoln Navigtor

Does anyone know how to take apart the trim around the clock?? My clock fell into the dash. I need the know how to put it back in. Any help would be much appreciated.

SECTION 413-07: Clock


REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION


Removal and Installation
  1. Remove the upper instrument panel center finish panel. For additional information, refer to Section 501-12 .
  1. Release the 3 retaining clips and remove the clock from the upper instrument panel center finish panel.
  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Section 501-12:

Removal and Installation
  1. Apply the parking brake and move the selector lever to NEUTRAL.
  1. Remove the selector lever trim ring.
  1. Remove the front floor console finish panel.
  1. Remove the lower instrument panel center finish panel.
    • Remove the instrument panel center finish panel screws.
    • Pull outward on the panel to disengage the clips.
    • Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  1. Remove the 2 lower screws from the upper instrument panel center finish panel.
  1. Remove the instrument panel defroster grille.
  1. Remove the 2 upper screws from the upper instrument panel center finish panel.
  1. Remove the upper instrument panel center finish panel.
    • Disconnect the electrical connectors.
  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
    • Transfer parts as needed.
    • Make sure to align the trim panel retaining clips to the retaining clip holes in the instrument panel.

It's actually fairly easy. I've done it to mine twice now. If you start pulling on the trim and it isn't coming, make sure there aren't any bolts before you keep pulling harder. I actually broke two of mine because I forgot about them. Lol
