Is the light you want to replace located around or below the radio? I found in the manual how you remove that trim piece around the radio. There should be air vents on either side of the radio. It says turn the vents "inward", and then reach your hands up in the vents and pull the panel off. Here's the whole thing without any pictures.

Instrument Panel —Cluster Panel
Removal and Installation

-Disconnect the battery ground cable. For additional information, refer to Section 414-01 .
-Remove the center instrument panel finish panel.
-Rotate the center instrument panel finish panel vents inward.
-Through the vent openings, grasp the center instrument panel finish panel and pull outward.
-Remove the center instrument panel finish panel.

The rest of the procedures are to take the large panel off around the instrument cluster

-Disconnect the electrical connectors.

NOTE: On automatic transmissions, move the shift lever to the 1 position to make removal easier.

-Remove the upper steering column cover.
-If equipped, disconnect the bi-fuel tank selector switch.

-Remove the headlamp switch. For additional information, refer to Section 417-01 .
-Remove the instrument panel finish panel.
-Remove the screws.
-Remove the instrument panel finish panel.
-If equipped, disconnect the electrical connector.

-Remove the instrument cluster panel.
-Remove the screws.
-Remove the instrument cluster panel.

To install, reverse the removal procedure
