Grill cover...yes or no?
I am new to diesels or will be when my 450 arrives. So I am curious is it a good idea to use a grill cover on a Ford SD? What are the recommendations?
Thanks in advance

I think it all depends where you are and what your doing. I can't yet verify coolant and oil temps in cold weather but my experience is a winter front is not necessary in as cold as -40 C. I am in middle north of BC Canada. No issues with keeping up to temp. I was trying to get a winter front and so far when I picked up none available for the 2017. I may still get one just cause, but so far truck is running well, up to temp, good heating in the cab. Need to get fore scan so I can see my digital coolant temps to verify. I would like to ensure running atleast 195 to preserve fuel mileage and efficiency.

It's good for protecting the rods from bugs and stones.
I was told by service manager that the newer fords don't need cold weather fronts anymore.
Only time I actually needed one in my 2008 was when it was -50 before wind chill. I ended up putting my coveralls right over the rads. This was the only way I could keep anti freeze from freezing up while driving. Could see it in the gauges while driving as engin temp would rise the anti freeze froze. Tires actually froze as well. It was a ****ty drive.
