I wrote further discussion but I lost it when I tried to post links and images while I had privacy software turned on (the upload feature window freezes when those are on) and I couldn't get rid of the upload window to get back to the message I had written. The photos show the line boring of main bearing journals in a 1925 Stutz engine block with 9 bearing Journals. (Explained in the text). They could only bore 2 journals at a time on this engine block. The long boring bar is obviously missing in your photo- it's probably around that shop somewhere with the other parts. If I were you, I would be searching and combing that shop for every part that goes with it, just to have it all.
