Good to hear you made it home safe. We had some pretty bad flooding here back in June, so I'm glad you didn't get caught in that. It was quite a mess here. Now, enjoy that new to you truck!

We used Travelation.com. Ended up flying Alaska Airlines from southern Oregon to Portland Oregon then American Airlines from Portland to Phoenix Arizona. You gotta be somewhat flexible on departure dates, just poke around a bit. For whatever reason if I departed on Saturday or the following Monday or Tuesday I got the cheaper fare. If I waited until the following Wednesday, Thursday or Friday the fares more than doubled, go figure.

This may sound weird to some people but I found its better to use private browsing when shopping for airline tickets. If you found a good price, shop around some more then try to go back to that price it has gone up! I think they track you around on different sites and keep raising the price until you get tired of it and just buy a ticket. IMHO

Hi Glenn, no it's not a weird observation. Been there may times where I had an opportunity at airfare at a great price, then one hour later it was doubled. So for us old farts, how do we do private browsing?

If you use internet explorer then click on tools at the top and its the second one down. In google chrome top right under the three little dots its incognito window. There is also a way on apple but don't remember right now.
