As if I needed another diesel. Oh well, the deal was to good to pass up and apparently I have more money than sense, so my wife says, lol.
Brother-in-Law out of Glendale Arizona purchased a new GMC diesel, boy that truck is nice. Anyway, last Thanksgiving was down there and made him a offer for his 99 F250 7.3 with 127K on the clock, pretty much loaded with everything including remote start. Initially he refused but called me a month later as he did not want to deal with the idiots that come out of the woodwork when advertising a vehicle for sale, been there ...
Flying down to Arizona next Saturday to pick it up and drive it back to Oregon. Got a killer price on airfare, $96 one way, can't even drive down there for that, not even close.
Congrats Jim! Selling my camper I have to agree, a bunch of idiots for sure! Especially the ones who wants you to move it 60 miles for them without giving you any money!!
Nice! Are you getting rid of one or just adding to the fleet?
Probably get rid of the 97. Have had it for 10 years and its time to move on. Of course a 99 isn't much of a forward movement but the low miles and great condition made it hard to pass up.
Here are a few pictures by brother-in-law sent me ...
Nice truck, not a fan of the steps and grill, but dam that truck looks clean.
Thanks,
I agree, think the OBS grill is a lot better looking, oh well, I'll get use to it over time .
My 97 had the same type of steps but were cracked badly (fiberglass) so removed them and went with Nerf-bars. Although I liked the change wife just hated them when trying getting in and out of the truck in bad weather. These are in such good shape will just keep for awhile, wife happy project, cost $00. And since I'm a grandpa (3 times), great grandpa (1 time) and retired I fit the (grandpa steps) scenario perfectly .
That's sharp. It's nice to see one that someone has taken care of
Thanks Ben, yea it's hard to find anything decent here in southern Oregon. Most are in very rough condition, high mileage and overpriced. Twice I've helped out other members on here by checking out advertised trucks and reported back not to even consider it for any amount of money.
Sometimes you get lucky, your at right place at the right time
Very nice truck. When you post your '97 for sale, copy a link here. I'll forward it to my brother-in-law. He and his wife just had their 3rd girl today and will need to upgrade his '96 ECSB to CC.

For me it's not so much the steps I hate, it's how they're molded into the fender flares. Steps and flares should be two separate things!
