Calling all king ranchers

hey guys, just been browsing some YouTube videos. I have to ask.... is the leather in king ranchs really that superior than the lariat?

Is is it worth the extra money to go to this upgrade? What's the advantages of the king ranch vs lariat ultimate

I love the look of them, my wife thinks the lariats seats are more comfortable than the King Ranch ones. I couldn't tell a difference they both felt good. But she isn't paying for the truck so I'm getting what I like.

Yes, the King Ranch seats look good, feel good, and have the massaging feature. The King Ranch package is more than just the seats though.

Is it? Besides the seats and wheels, what is different on a King Ranch than a fully loaded Lariat?

The leather is also of better quality, it won't show wear nearly as soon as the cheaper versions will. This is the same as Ram offers on their Longhorns, and Gm's Denali.

Actually it shows wear faster compared to the lariats. Trust me I know cause I've had a King Ranch. You have to maintain the KR seats a lot more than the lariats.

Mine is a King Ranch Ultimate which comes with standard features the Lariat would have to add on. Also, different grille, different tailgate, brown interior, wheels, massage seats, real wood trim, and exterior color scheme selection. Off the top of my head.

No, that was the old King Ranch seats. The new ones don't wear like that, not saddle leather.

Well that sucks! My current Ram Longhorn is 5 years old now (daily driver) and the seat are still perfect. Fingers crossed for the new SD......

I traded my 2008 KR for my 2017 Lariat. The leather remained in the distressed look, but was in great condition after all those years. I conditioned them with the KR conditioner a few times annually. The remained soft and uncracked. My 2017 is a Lariat and the seats are a little slicker, but nice. I hope they hold up as well as my KR did.

Don't worry, the King Ranch seats are great and will wear better than the Lariat seats. Better grain of leather. I actually have a 17 King Ranch so I know.

LOL with very little miles. I guarantee after 80k miles you compare the two seats in both a KR and Lariat and neither was conditioned the KR will look more worn.

I repeat, the new 17 King Ranch seats are not like the older model King Ranch seats. I traded in a 2008 King Ranch on this 17. I am telling you they are absolutely nothing alike.

The Ultimate package is a add on. And if you didn't get the Ultimate package you have to still pay for all the LED lights, moon roof, auto running boards, massaging seats. So really you can get a Lariat pretty damn close to a fully loaded KR. The big difference is just the seats. Other then the massaging seats you can get everything else on a Lariat.
