I repeat, the new 17 King Ranch seats are not like the older model King Ranch seats. I traded in a 2008 King Ranch on this 17. I am telling you they are absolutely nothing alike.
Are they different than a '14 cause that's what I had? I'm not comparing two trucks nearly a decade apart. lol
The Ultimate package is a add on. And if you didn't get the Ultimate package you have to still pay for all the LED lights, moon roof, auto running boards, massaging seats. So really you can get a Lariat pretty damn close to a fully loaded KR. The big difference is just the seats. Other then the massaging seats you can get everything else on a Lariat.
Not the grille, wheels, floor mats, tailgate, and so on.
I'm not ******* the KR cause hell I have one on order, I'm just being honest with the man that asked the question. I know the seats aren't the same from ten years ago but I really don't think theres a big difference from 3 years ago and in order to keep the seats looking good you have to condition the hell out of them or they look worn pretty quick.
Mine says King Ranch across the whole tailgate and looks great! And yes this 17 year model the King Ranch seats changed to be basically the Platinum seats but dyed brown.
I guess if you got the chrome package then yes it will say KR across the tailgate. I didn't get that and from the rear the only thing you can tell its a KR is a 4" badge that I will be taking off.
But anyways back on topic, to the OP yes the KR seats are nice and comfortable. But you will have to take care of them more than you would a lariat if you want them to keep looking nice.

Honestly it was a toss up between those two for me as well. I choose the KR cause of the seats and the wheels. I love how the caribou tint in the wheels look great with the Bronze fire and Caribou two tone. Other than that theres really not a big difference in the trucks.
Yes, especially the driver seat cause these trucks are taller so a lot of people are going to be sliding out of them so on the driver seat on the left side its going to wear out quick if you don't take care of them. I mean that's really with any leather seats but the KR seats just takes more TLC.
So you're saying that the king ranch is the better way to go?
Chris, I don't know why this guy keeps saying you will have to condition the seats more than a Lariat, you won't. There is a lot of reasons to pick the King Ranch. I chose the King Ranch over the Platinum because I liked the chrome package, two tone paint scheme, the brown interior, and I believe it has every option that came with the Platinum.
As strokin says, there's really not a big difference between the two. You can load out a lariat to right up there with the KR. The main reason i chose the KR is due to the darker color of the leather. I have several friends that have the tan leather and it just gets dirty too quick. Especially in the perforations. Black leather isn't an option for me as it just gets too hot. The only big difference between the two is the seats. Also in my opinion the KR is way nicer than the platinum. A fully loaded platinum has no more features than my KR, plus the KR has a nicer interior IMO.
