Not charging
Hello my ford lovers .i have a 95 f150 .it has the 5.0 liter.automatic.i was driving the other day n my speedometer just all of a sudden stop working n the alternator light came on .so I made it to advance auto parts .they check it n said my alternator was gone so I purchase a new one .then when I tryed to start it my battery was dead.so the guy at advance checked my battery n said I needed a new battery.which was only a month old .now after a new battery n a new alternator it's only charging 10 volts .so I though it was a bad alternator so the next day they replaced it ..but with a another new alternator still only charging 10 volts please help ...thanks in advance

They offer many grades of parts, did you buy the cheap **** or the good ****?

Chances are your battery was dead, and just needed to be charged.

not entirely true depens on who you speak with. but yes many of them do not know anything. when you do know something and apply there you get job fast cause they want people who know what theyre doing vs someone who dont know anything. also the battery and the alternator issue may not have been true because if there was a charging issue then the problem would have been not the battery cause it was cranking amps and volts affected not just cranking amp. the guy didnt know what to do to help. just thought he knew what the problem was but these days the new stuff is all people know.
