2006 Expedition Inner Tie Rod End/Tie Rod?

Just put a new hub on the front of my 2006 Expedition, 4wd, 5.4 xlt.
Looks like there is a little play inboard in the steering.
Drivers side is what I am looking at.
Outer tie rod end seems tight.
Passenger side seems good.
So I am guessing the inner joint at the steering rack.
I did a little searching and doesn't look too bad, but thought I would check if I am missing anything...
Pull the boot and replace clamps with zip ties?
Big wrench (I have an adjustable I think would go big enough) or get a loan a tool to slip over?
Best to separate the outer end from spindle or just unscrew?
Anything else I might need to know?
Appreciate it !
Thanks
