Spring or a the bb mod. I had the upgraded spring with a Maris grass bead at idle I was at 70-75 psi and at WOT it dipped to 55-65. It was great.

It won't be the cure if you have boost or exhaust leaks

Intake plenums, are a must only use Motorcraft sealant. Check pre turbo for exhaust leaks (exhaust manifold and up pie leaks)

Yes, in order for the intake plenum to seal with the surface of the head it needs sealant.

So I ran a test today and found that my exhaust back pressure was was running 1 to 3 psi ( I assume) more than my boost. From what I have read this tells me I have little or no exhaust leaks is that true?

A weak HPOP, or low compression, can also raise EGT's. Have you checked your air filter to see if it's not restricted? Also check the turbo blades to see if there not damaged both compressor and exducer side. I had a case where the reducer wheel was actually melted from extreme high EGT's on one of the work trucks, up pipe leaks we're the cause of this catastrophic failure.

I looked the turbo over when I replaced the intake tube and it seemed to be fine. I installed a open air AFE filter a few months ago with a pre filter so I don't believe I have any restrictions. How do you test the hpop and what about compression?
