Ok I'll Do that. When he says leaf blower on the exhaust he is talking on the exhaust tail pipe right?
I don't feel real intellectual asking that but want make sure.
I just ordered one but yes would that have an.effect on my egts?
basic test for boost leaks https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ab3GD2TPdhE
the other test is for exhaust leaks, I have never done that, a simple visual inspection usually will clearly show a significant leak at the manifold to up pipe or collector at turbo. Monitoring ebp vs boost pressure will also give s respectable ratio to go by. If you are above 15-17 psi of boost on stock stick your up pipe leaks are minimal if present.
your compressor housing could also be leaking at the cover o ring, which also will show on an inlet to intake boost leak test which also tests the turbo housing.
I had to run to town real quick and really paid attention to boost I made 14 pounds at 2000 rpm but egt was 1200degrees it's like I can't use even half the pettle does this seem.odd to any one else?
Right where the two up pipes connect to the turbo mounting flange you shouldn't see any soot. You can buy some bellow up pipes but are $$$ or you can go with home made up pipes, look at the MOD/tech folder there's a really good detailed how to.

Riffraff now makes their own up pipes that are much cheaper than the International ones. Obviously, they're still not as cheap as DIY, but unless your trans is out or you have a block on an engine on a stand to mock them up on, it would be very difficult to impossible to DIY up pipes in the truck.
