new radiator fit

looking for new radiator for my 1971 f250 300 6 cylinder, the radiators i have been looking at have engine side flange, that won't attach to my radiator support, seems like the flange should be away from engine, help

thanks

The one I recommended from 1-800-radiator has both mount flanges. It will mount either on the raised mounts or straight to the radiator support.

There were two different mounting styles, but I don't know what dictated what mount it got.

If you call them their system puts you through to the closest location. I generally get radiators from Boise.

Yes Sir,
They both face the engine bay the way their sitting, the lower one mounts the rear mounting Rad.

Also all the 4wd trucks, I've seen use the rear mounting Rad support.

But many trucks that have 2wd also use either one of them that, I've come across.

So it's like you'll never know what's under the hoods until you look.

thank you for the photo. I was trying to figure this out. Wouldn’t you know it that the rear mount cost more.

1967/72 F100/350: TWO different radiator supports. The one used with the Super Cooling radiator has a larger opening radius.

Super cooling radiator measures approx. 26 1/4" x 24 11/16."

Standard/xtra cooling and A/C radiators measure approx. 26 1/4" x 19 3/4."

And because there are TWO different radiator supports, there are TWO different fan shrouds.
