Went and looked at this truck last night. I think it's a parts truck. Has Vortech supercharger. EFI 460. Headers (unknown brand). Saw an MSD box with a boost retard **** on dash and boost gauges. Did not get to drive it or even start it. I was planning on finding a truck that needs some TLC, but there is body rust and substantial frame rust. Looks like a lot of hacked wiring. I'm not interested in another project, but I can't get this one out of my mind.
What would you value this at if I was thinking of just stripping it for its parts?
That's a sweet truck, how bad is the rust? Hard to tell anything from the pics. Worth substantially more than 2k in parts if the Trans and engine are good.

Yes, which is why I jumped right up and drove an hour to look at it.
Both rear fiberglass fenders are smashed. Box was full of junk so I couldn't get a good look, but from the outside it looked OK. The chrome trim on the bootom of the cab was hiding cab corner rot, lower door rot. Both fenders rotted. Frame behind front wheels was very rusty. I'm from Iowa so rust is nothing new to me, but this one would concern me.
The hood scoops are functional. All piped to the intake system. Interior was clean.
Supposedly a professional conversion when truck was brand new? Not heard of Cassell before but owner talked of them like I should know. ????
Wiring hanging out of fuse panel. Wiring around battery hacked up. (Maybe a ****ty stereo install at one point?)
After seeing condition, I didn't wait around to start and drive it. Owner says it runs fine until warm an would need trailered.
One-ton, auto, 4x4. 7.5L. Supercharged. Would be an awesome project for someone that had the space and time to restore it.
Hell, anyone want a nice vortech kit that isn't available anymore, go grab this one.
I've done my fair share of rusty resto's, every time I finish one....I say I'll never do another. Then time goes by, I forget how bad it was, and I buy another....clean interior means a lot, but fixing rust really means cab off resto, frame jigs, and lots of beer.

I would probably just strip everything for the Supercharger to use on my current 460. And then part out/scrap the rest of the truck, if it's as bad as it sounds.
