well it was nice out this morning so i got a few pics of my "new" rust bucket
1991 f150 lariat xlt single cab long box, 2wd, 302 v8, auto tranny
notice the garage in the background of the #2 pic....thats where blue bandit sits
when i washe it the other day i found that the rust is much worse then it looked, the driver side cab corner is rusted through just a tiny hole but its still there, i knew the fender wells were bad and the rear quarter pannel is rusted through (typical ford), but the paint is all peeling off....its ugly...it will be a project once i get the blue bandit on the road again
Honestly it doesn't really look that bad, although like you said, you can't see everything from the top.
My 90 looked a LOT worse than that, but you could see thru the door sills lol. That truck was still a damn good runner, and if it hadn't crumbled away, I wouldn't have scrapped it.
Looks like a nice solid tailgate though, those are hard to come by up here in rust-land.
yeah and those nice wheels...the coating or whatever is flaking off? oh well ill get me some chromies and low pro wheels when its time for tires anyway
Wow, your actually complaining about that body? You should have seen what my 89 looked like before i started swaping new body panels onto it!!!
VVVV Look, you can even see the rust hole in my rear fender from about 30 yards away!!! lol
yeah like i said though its 10x worse that it looks in the pics but thats okay cause once im done with blue bandit then ill have another project to hold me over haha
