Where do these hook up to?

Trying to figure out where these vacuum lines hook up at in the engine bay. They are the lines that go to the heater/air conditioner controls in the dash.

(Sorry the pictures are rotated sideways and I don't have enough computer smarts to know how to correct them.)

First picture shows where the 2 lines come thru the firewall.

Second picture shows the big line connecting to some kind of inline valve or something. It reduces down and then it continues on to the end that is shown in picture three.

I am assuming the little vacuum line coming thru the firewall attaches to the vacuum port at the rear of the intake manifold. Is this correct??

No clue where the other attaches.

Thank You for your help!

Your truck must have factory A/C. In the first picture, The big line goes to the vacuum reservoir mounted on the driver's side splash pan. The smaller line goes to the hot water control valve in on of the heater hoses.
Other pictures are a little too close up for me to get an idea of what they're for.

EDIT: Went back and reread your post. The way the vacuum lines work for the A/C is:
You have a large line that comes off of the manifold vacuum tree. That goes to a vacuum reservoir mounted on the driver's splash. A large line runs from the reservoir through the firewall (this is the one in your picture. From there it goes to the control panel.
The small line runs to the heater hot water control valve.

Here is the illustration from the parts catalog. It shows the 73-75 system which is a little different than the '79. On this system it shows two vacuum lines going to the heater control valve. 76-up used only one hose, but everything else in the diagram is the same.

Thanks for your response Mike. Yes it has factory AC. I am finding out that the previous owner left alot of items off of the truck. There is no vacuum canister so I guess I need to get one. Also I do not see the hot water control valve. Where would it be at?

See item number 18495 in the illustration? That's the valve.

On the vacuum reservoir, '78 models from s/n AJ0,001 through the '79 model year used P/N D7OZ-19A 566-A. Nobody show one in stock. '76 through '78 models to S/N AJ0,001 used P/N D6TZ-19A566-A, I did locate one of those. Green Sales in Cincinnati, OH has one (800) 543-4959. I don't see why you couldn't substitute one for the other.
The last dealer cost was $20.03, list price $33.38, of course, what Green wants for it is up to them.

Yup, it's in the heater hose. It function is to shut off the coolant flow when you aren't using the heater.
