Excellent multipurpose troubleshooting tool!
I have a waterproof Bluetooth spycam that pairs with my phone. I took a good horseshoe magnet and mounted the cam to it after putting 3M mylar on the contact surfaces. I have used this for all sorts of things. I have watched tires and wheels to see if I have any hop caused by shock fatigue, I have watched drive shafts and rear ends. I put one pointed up at the harmonic balancer to check belt tracking. I have watched turbo lingages operate under normal driving. On the agricultural side, I have watched disc in harrows and seed levels in planters.
My 5th wheel camper seemed to have a ghost vibration in it. No one but me could feel it. I put that cam under the camper in front of both axles looking back. When I took it for a drive, the rear axle was flexing and deflecting more than the front. Turns out one was a thinner wall tubing than the other.
I have also stuck it on the back of my camper for tight campsites. My brother likes to clip it on a deer stand he is not in to see if he picked the wrong one that morning.
I used it as a bed cam for hooking up goosenecks until I put a permanent one In the 3rd brake light.
I paid $60 on eBay for my cam a year ago. And just browsing, there seems to be no end to the selection. I had a good rare earth horseshoe magnet that I have zero concerns for it falling off. I have no idea where it came from.
