Here in Pa the state max doc fee is $138, so we'll sell real X plan all day long! Other states the doc fee is much higher, so they'll talk their way around it. We may tell a customer we'll give him that price, but it's still just a price, so if we say "this is the price Ford extends to its partner companies" we now have justified the price for folks. Frankly that works better than saying "$500 under invoice", even though it's not actually a better deal. As someone said above, by this point, your fighting over a few hundred bucks. Yes, that's real money, but you're getting a good deal and the sales guy gets a paycheck, but isn't getting a bunch of high fives from everyone, unless it has been a really slow month.
Thanks for the info!

X-plan formula is dealer invoice - (dealer invoice × 0.4%) + $275

EAA Discount

I am new to the forum but have watched it daily for months getting great information from the site and a huge help in ordering. My truck comes in next month and was wondering if I joined EAA now would I be able to obtain a rebate coupon for mid-February when the truck arrives. Thanks for any help or suggestions and many thank to those on this forum as it has been both informative and educational! Cheers!

So breakeven is $68,750.

Below that invoice, X-Plan price is above invoice.

Above that invoice, X-Plan price is below invoice.

Never compare an internet price with one from your own state, the deals never line up.

Also depends on partner only rebates and the savings in doc fees if you are in a state that does not require doc fees to be $100 or less.

Jake, as soon as you join EAA you can generate a PIN. According to their rules, you can't use it until you've been a member for 60 days. However many, including myself, have used a PIN sooner than that and not had the dealer say anything.

For those of you who got the student rebate, how long did it take to arrive in mail?

Student rebate doesn't arrive in the mail, you just bring a copy of required docs to the dealer.

Proof of enrollment status in a minimum of 2 classes or 6 credit hours (i.e. copy of current class schedule, copy of term grade report, letter from the college/university/trade school registrar's office stating student is currently enrolled and in good academic standing, etc.).

OR
- For those students between terms (i.e. summer semester/vacation) or recent high school seniors entering their first term in college in the fall of 2016, proof of prior or future term enrollment (see examples above). Letters of Intent will be accepted for incoming college freshmen) Letters of Intent are only valid for no more than 6 months.

OR
- Copy of diploma.

OR
- Letter from the college/university/trade school registrar's office stating graduation date and type of degree earned.

OR
- Copy of final transcript confirming graduation date and type of degree earned.

Is the EAA discount, or any others for that matter, available in addition to a Z-plan? I'm thankful my wife qualified for the Z-plan, but I'd like to be sure I receive all the discounts available without beating up my dealer.

EAA is just a way to get an X-Plan PIN and is not a discount. So, if you have z-plan already, it's of no help to you.

EAA is NOT available for AD or Z plans. Nothing to beat up a dealer on with Z plan, it is what it is. They would lose money selling it at Z plan if not for Fords reimbursement or some cooked figures.
