The reason they don't care right now is because they can apply x plan pricing at any time. You could pick out one of the lot and they could apply x plan on it today. I ordered a new f350 Monday using x plan. We did negotiate the price and my trade price but no one asked for the pin. They'll process that at delivery. This will be my third x plan purchase.
With programs like X-Plan, do you have to tell the dealer you are a member before you order or can you present it on delivery? I am not an X-plan member, but thought about joining if its beneficial. I just have a small deposit on my order with no price negotiated yet on my new truck. They did give me a price range on my trade in 2013 SD which will be dependent on mileage once my truck arrives. Probably not the best negotiating tactic in the world to not have a price set at order, but...
We ordered our truck with plans to use the Costco program. We put nothing down. When the truck was delivered Costco had not yet established pricing for the '17 SD in our region, so we agreed to pay invoice less rebates. When we arrived at the dealership we gave them the EAA rebate and said we didn't know if the rebate had to be used in conjunction with x-plan. They checked and it did, so they switched us to x-plan.

I recon the best way would be to talk to your dealer!
x-plan isn't a private offer and can be combined with almost every other rebate.
X-Plan may not be considered a private offer, but generally, it cannot be combined with other private offers.
From Ford Partners FAQ section:
19. Am I eligible for other incentives?
Yes, for most. Partner Recognition participants are eligible for most public incentives (emphasis added). There are some offers that are not compatible with this offer. Your dealer can best determine which incentives you are eligible for.
So, you cannot use a AQHA rebate with X-Plan.
So back to the original question (someone needs to answer it):
For example, you could use the current $1,000 cash back, $500 AQHA membership, $500 for the Georgia Farm Bureau, $500 student rebate, ect? I'm thinking I am eligible for a solid $2,500 in rebates right now...
The $1000 rebate and the student rebate are public rebates and can be used with X-Plan.
AQHA and GA Farm rebates cannot be used together and neither can be used with X-Plan.
So with X-Plan, you are looking at $1500 in rebates.
Without X-Plan, you are looking at $2000 in rebates.
In my experience, I can buy below X-Plan (TX new truck market is wicked competitive) with available rebates. Which is why I have not used X-Plan in a decade or more.

First, your dealer must be dealer Costco works with. There is usually only one dealer per brand associated with your closest warehouse. This provides the benefit of volume in return for lower profit. Second, part of Costco's pricing is based on what other vehicles of the same make and model sold for. For new models and major redesigns, like the '17 SD, it takes some time for there to be enough regional sales to set a price.
I recommend that you call Costco to confirm your dealer is in their program and that Costco has set pricing for the '17 AD. Do not expect the dealer to be honest about being a Costco program dealer, as is not uncommon for dealers to lie about this. Also, don't believe them when they say they can match Costco pricing. Costco pricing is by VIN and can only be accessed by Costco dealers.

This includes any special rates. Then we typically present a payment based on the one we think the customer wants. If you're telling us all you care about is the best price, that's what you'll likely see, if you want the best payment, we'll show that. We tend not to get into the weeds on it, because even if you'd say most folks on this forum like the details, the avg customer really doesn't, and is far less likely to buy from someone who spends the time going over these details than the one that cuts to the chase and makes a deal look good. Stupid, but thats how the general public best responds to dealers (and then complains about the process).

My guess is you are only talking about a couple of hundred dollars either way.
X-Plan is a fixed price.
Dealer price is negotiable.
Remember, the dealer has a 3% of MSRP holdback. On a $70k truck, that gives the dealer $2100 to play with.

Frantz, question for you. Leaving doc fees out of the equation here, is it more profitable to the dealer to sell at invoice or to use X-plan, which is essentially invoice on these trucks? Does it matter? Does the dealer get a little extra spiff for using X-plan?

I forget the exact formula, but X plan is normally just over invoice. On a few very expensive models it's actually under. So any dealer at any time can sell at X plan and be fine. Additionally if you actually use the X plan pin the dealer does get a small kickback from Ford for selling under market value. Here in Pa the state max doc fee is $138, so we'll sell real X plan all day long! Other states the doc fee is much higher, so they'll talk their way around it. We may tell a customer we'll give him that price, but it's still just a price, so if we say "this is the price Ford extends to its partner companies" we now have justified the price for folks. Frankly that works better than saying "$500 under invoice", even though it's not actually a better deal. As someone said above, by this point, your fighting over a few hundred bucks. Yes, that's real money, but you're getting a good deal and the sales guy gets a paycheck, but isn't getting a bunch of high fives from everyone, unless it has been a really slow month.
