Hey guys, i have to fix my front windshield frame, and plan do the rear at the same time. What do you guys think is the the best way to tackle this?
Where i live we are exposed to heavy moisture, and most dentsides i see around here are all rusted in around the window gasket.
Thanks, cheers.
I'm in the same boat with my step sons dent. I'm going too find some donor window channel from a 75 e250 of have. and cut the rust out and weld all new in. Shouldn't be that hard. While I have the rust cut out and before welding the new in I'm going to paint the inside of the roof to try too preserve the truck longer. Good luck on your repair
I was actually going to recommend ecaxtly what Justin said after reading his predicament last week.
As for the inner rust that creeps up from the drip rails and the window seams. You can get rust converter that has a very long tube that you should be able to slide all the way to the back of the cab through the channel you just cut out. It then attaches to an aerosol can and you just pull the tube out slowly while spraying. I will try to find the product. However, it would eb just as easy with the headliner out to slather some POR-15 down into those creases.
