Well as far as the waste gate try running a large pungy cord hook one end on the gate arm the other someplace to hold the thing shut. I did this to rule it out.
Those jumpy readings look a little leaky to me, but from your description - I think I see another culprit. When you hit 24 PSI at a specific RPM, the truck defuels. It would be very odd for it to hold the defuel until the timer clears. That 80 seconds is about the same time it takes to clear an overboost code.
You can give Clay at Riffraff Diesel a call and install a boost fooler, then you can see if the computer is getting you or something else is letting loose.
Might I suggest you set the RPM max to 3500 - you can see more detail on playback and you'll never crest that limit.
Clay's OCR solved the problem. Now FORScan will only read up to ~22psi. I guess if I really want to know how much boost I'm getting I'll need to install a gauge. Thanks for everyone's input.
