98 4x4 transfer case shift
Help Please. I have a 1998 Ford Ranger that I am replacing the clutch system in. I pullled the 4x4 transfer case out and I ordered a new electronic shift motor for it while I have things apart. I received the Dorman 607-800 shift motor today and the plug end on the new one does not have the gray wire coming out of it. here is a picture of the gray wire on the old motor still on the transfer case...WHAT DOES THAT WIRE DO? As you can see it goes into the case just behind the driveshaft hub. thanks for any insight and help. Should I send the new motor back and ask for one with that wire?
