ICP sensor question

Will my engine lose power if I unplug my ICP valve?

If you unplug the ICP sensor on the driver side head, the PCM will assign an artificial reading to the ICP and command the IPR to build pressure without feedback from the ICP sensor.

In short... it will run. This is one of the test procedures to learn if the ICP sensor works properly.

Referring to it as an 'ICP valve' makes me wonder exactly what he is referring to. The ICP is not a valve, it is a sensor. Here is a picture that I hijacked off of someone on here that depicts much of what we deal with under the hood. Which item are you referring to?

Yeah... I wondered about that too, but didn't address it. Good job on picking that up.
