Hood attachment nuts/clips

Hood attachment nuts/clips
When I pulled the hood off the truck, I noticed that the hood was attached to the hinges with a couple cheap bolts from the hardware store. Not a big deal as I can get bolts. Bigger problem was the captive nuts/clips are gone. Apparently ripped out, judging by the bent sheet metal.
Where can I get the correct nuts/clips and how do they install?

I followed the instructions when I aligned the hood on the brown truck. On the brown truck, i had removed the hinges.
On the copper truck, no, I didn't. The hood was misaligned when I started the project, so there was no point to marking or drilling the mount. Now that the hood is nicely aligned, I should mark it or drill alignment holes. Although I have no plans to pull it again...

PapaBearYuma. Sorry for stealing your thread but I would need instructions for the whole alignment process if it's possible to find anywhere on the forum. The Hinges are still on the Truck and I didn't mark anything before I took the Hood off because I had to replace a large (30"x 20") piece of the Hood due to an old
damage. This piece included the area with the nuts/clips. I tried hard to measure carefully several times and weld the "new" piece back to the right position. I now hope I can get the hood back and aligned properly.

There's a pretty good write-up in the tech compilation for adjusting the hinges, but I'm not aware of anything for just the hood.
For aligning the hinges, there are three bolts which mount the hinge to the fender. Loosen all three, and the hinge pivots on the center bolt. To raise the back of the hood, raise the back of the hinge. To raise the front of the hood, raise the front of the hinge.
For aligning just the hood, I put the hood on the hinges, and eye-balled the bolt heads to the center of the slot. Snugged the bolts, then brought the hood down to the closed position. The left side needed to come forward about a 1/4", while the right side needed about 3/8"
Took about three tries to get it to where it is.
Helpful hint-disconnect the catch and spring from the underside of the hood. If you lock the hood closed, and it's too far out of alignment, it's really hard to get it back open
And that's a good-looking repair panel you've got there!
