Hello I have a 87 Ford F-150 4.9l I am have replaced everything under the sun on this truck and still not getting any spark can some please shed some light on this mystery lol thanks in advance
Parts replaced distributer ICM PIP sensor coil and repaired the PCM (supposedly) and plugs and wires
Yes the fuel pump kicks on and off and when I am working on for a while I can smell fuel coming out of it and for some reason I can't figure out how to jump out the contector for the codes
I had a similar problem, mine was more sporadic, turned out to be the ignition switch under the dash on the steering column. That fixed the problem for about 6 months and back to no spark. Replaced the distributor and all has been fine since.
If I recall, I was getting power to the distributor, the problem was internal to the distributor itself. Think I paid about $100 for a new unit at Advance Auto Parts.
