Starting problems
I have a 1999 f350 7.3. Turn the key lights and feul pump come on but the starter wont crank. I replaced the starter and checked all the fuses i could find. The only way i can get the truck to crank is by jumping the relay under the hood . thanks guys

Just guessing here, but would not "jumping the relay under the hood" be a clue? Could the relay that is being jumped be bad?

Just because it's new doesn't mean it's good, but I'd recheck all the cables and wires.
Does it click when you turn the key?
Did you replace the battery terminals?
Did you check the cables underneath the rubber sheathing?
Clean all the grounds back to bare metal?
Recheck all connections?
Check fusable links?

If its an automatic, it might be the neutral safety switch.

I agree to check neutral safety switch. try starting the truck with the shifter in the 'N' position. if that works either the NSS is bad, or just needs adjusted. its mounted on slots so you can loosen the bolts and rotate it slightly. IIRC there is a line that must line up with shifter in NEUTRAL not in park. had this condition on several ford service trucks at my work.
