My trucks are in storage for the winter. I can't drive them. I can't work on them. I can't even sit in them. All I can do is watch you guys vicariously through FTE. Anyone else got the winter blues?
I generally have a case of "Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)"... another name for the winter blues. I don't like the rain, cold, or darkness... I'd prolly check out of humanity if I lived in Canada.
Second, I'm still mired on a rental house remodel in San Francisco which is about . I've been going there nearly every weekend ... and both days.
No wrenching time sucks and I am barely maintaining my household during the week. I have managed to squeeze in a couple of days for fun but there has been a nagging voice inside my head since March due to the amount of work that was laid before me. I'm at the tail end of it now so hopefully I can get back to a modicum of normalcy this spring.
"Heated 3 car garage" the only problem is my truck is to long to fit inside with the door closed and work on the ends but nothing a drywall heater cant fix!!
Tennessee is cold for me let alone Canada... Born in Pacific Northwest and never moving back!!!
Been to Tennessee.....spent 11 months there. Nice place to visit. Yes it gets cold here too but the summers are relatively mild here as compared to Eastern Wa where I grew up.
And yes I too have that SAD disorder thing. Hate sitting indoors doing nothing knowing that I have so many things Id rather be doing. But noooo......its flipping cold right now. Not use to it. Next week its suppose to warm back up into the 40's and maybe even hit 50deg. Its going to be a heat wave! haha
Only caveat is that the rain comes with it.
Ya 79F150400m and The Monson, you guys aren,t that far from me. Brutal winter so far. Like you said next week is spring weather. We usualy get 6 feet of rain in the winter.
-49 F here last night. Truck still starts and goes, though the steering pump makes an old familiar noise when the oil gets that thick, and the clutch is a little stiffer than usual...
We do what we need to do when we need to do it. A good battery and attentive maintenance go a long way to keep things moving.
