Bob I found it at my local hobby shop. Been good fun to mess with. I'm trying to make it match the big one as close as possible and keep it on the dash.
Sometimes I wonder about my ancestors, it had to have been tough. We get very cold winter temps in Iowa, not Canadian style, but damn cold routinely. But, we also get brutal humidity and high heat in the summer. 90F and 90% will really put the whammy on outdoor exertion, believe me. There really is only a small window of nice dry weather every year, maybe three or four months. I rebuilt the lawnmower (indoors) this year to feed my mechanical need for a "fix".
Since we have a holiday on Monday (Elvis' birthday, right?!), I can take a day off from working on the rental house in SF. Plus the weather forecast is for sun with temps in the high 50s.
On holiday weekends, Pick N Pull has a 50 percent off everything deal today (Friday) through Monday. I checked their inventory online and while the yard has Dents and Bumps, they are the same ones as when I visited on Thanksgiving Day when I scored a clean and complete '67 grill shell. Gonna pass this time around.
I'm think I'm gonna take my Lil Pony and do a "Cars and Coffee" at the Cobra Experience: The Cobra Experience - HOME and chill for a few hours. It's open to all makes, models, and years. Then spend the rest of the day fiddling with the '70 Bump and figuring out where I left off with the '73 4x4.
I live in the Portland Oregon area. It is 27 degrees right now I am just looking at my replacement cab wanting so bad to pressure washer it and start working on it. But with no garage or shop to put it in all I can do is wait . I have been building a fire in my cabin and working on my wiring harness. And my dad's dart block 383 stroker engine for his Chevy so all is not lost
Yep, full on winter blues. Cold and snowy as **** here. Both trucks have been sitting in the shop and even with a torpedo heater it's been too cold. Hoping it gets warmed up here a bit enough to clean up the shop and get the wing window seals done on Bruce. Wanting to get the windows tinted in the spring
Yeah, it snowed a bit here in the central mountains of CO. We've had nearly 7' since January 1.
This is my Newfie, Hugo. He is on our deck, which is about a foot off the ground. He stands 30" and weighs in at 165.
Got 1/2 the garage roof cleared. Only took 2 hours. 40" slab up there.
My '76 Hi-Boy, Frank, is in there somewhere. He was clean when I left on January 2nd.
