My brother was like that when he was young. He still is for that matter. He would always leave his **** EVERYWHERE around the house. Talk back to my mother and father etc etc. And it never ended!!
I was totally opposite. I remember getting smacked on the butt a few times followed by a NO. I always learned from the mistake. My brother is 16 years old now and he still talks back to his parents and his room is a total *****HOUSE like it always has been.
I never quite understood why they let him "get away" with everything but Oh well, I was glad I wasn't like that.
Now, the bad part, he is getting his license soon.
And he has that Ford pony craze like I did when I was that age. But I started out with a honda civic. (talk about SLOW). He will probably have an 8-cylinder
I agree, spanking and beating is two different things. Spanking should never cause any physical harm and should never be your first and only attempt at solving a problem with a child. I have kids that never need it and some that only hear through the seat of their pants, so it is not an absolute or first response.
I didnt read the full posts
but a crack in the head, works just as well, or BETTER than a butt whoppin
Trust me, I know, as Ive had both... and I learned more from the "abuse" they call it now adays
I learned when my FATHER whupped me!!! Now like ya'll said mother didn't have the heart but she would always say "I WILL TELL YOUR FATHER!!!" and that was it. Now people when it came to getting whuppings i learned, and i quit getting in trouble when i was five, last whupping i got. Now on the other hand my uncle would still whup my cousin till they was 16. They wouldn't learn so they still got whupens. I believe kids should get a whuppen BUTTT!!! make sure they know why they are gettting one. that was the thing with my dad he would talk to me before i got a whuppen. telling me what i did and why it was wrong then u better have your hands out of the way!!
