Best windshield replacement options & advice
Was doing some relatively hard core, but not extreme, offroading some time ago, and Excursion body flexed enough that my windshield developed a 4" windshield frame-to-frame diagonal crack across the top driver's corner. Stayed that way for a long time & didn't bother me that much since mostly covered by visor, but has since developed a crack from the top driver's corner all the way across the middle of the glass almost to the passenger side, so am thinking I should probably get around to getting it replaced sometime soon.

So, my questions are these:
1. Since I managed to crack my current windshield (don't know if original or replacement, due to buying my EX used) due to body flex while offroading, who makes the strongest front windshield? OEM or other aftermarket brand. Prefer low key, so no Super Duty or Harley stickers or etching, etc.
2. If offered/required, should I get top banner tint, and if so, what color is recommended?
3. Reading here it seems rain gutter leaks can be an issue (though we don't get that much rain here in SoCal), so what precautions during install should be taken to ensure this doesn't become an issue for me in the future? (I don't believe I have any current issues w.r.t. this).
4. Since my Ex is lifted 8" I assume I should take it to somewhere (instead of e.g. having it done at home), so that 2 guys can install the windshield to get it on straight properly?
5. I have AAA comprehensive, and need to check whether windshield replacement is covered with no deductible (doubtful for SoCal?), and if so whether it counts as a claim. Anyone in similar situation care to comment on their experience?
6. I am located in San Diego North County. Anyone have a personal recommendation for a local installer?
7. Any other advice or potential issues I should be aware of?
Thanks in advance for any advice.
Are you saying that the newer 2015 windshield fits?
