When I got the bug to get a 2017. Reading about the Ultimate trailer tow with camera and TPMS put me into the go buy this thing mode. I was already in the process of getting a TPMS...I had just hooked up my rig with a wired rear cam that is wired to the front of the 5ver and then goes wireless to my aftermarket head unit, that has a Video input, that I could turn on when ever I wanted it.
I figured this new SD is gonna be AWESOME.
Then when I finally got info on what Ford came up with.....Darn.
I did a better job for $60 CAD.
Now Im in the process of putting an auxiliary 7" moniter in the truck to give video of the rear camera, because using Ford's beautifully placed screen for the camera view back up ONLY is a waste. And I'm buying the TMPS system that uses a BT smartphone (iPhone) for its moniter and alert system, because it's 2017 and BT seems to be a viable means of sending signals 12 feet.
Now only if I could have found a truck that had this stuff built in from the factory....?
I hated the additional screen mounted on top of the dash for the camera and the TPMS on my 2011. I was excited about eliminating them so I opted for the Ultimate Package. Ford could do a lot better and should start by asking their customers for feedback or attending RV rallies and soliciting opinions from seasoned Campers. It is useful, just not as much as it could be.

Absolutely kab.
So far my additional 7" screen is fitting nicely in the USB compartment laying flat. With the door slid closed it will keep dirt off the screen.
I'm 6'4 and the seat is all the way back so my viewing angle isn't the best. I will need to test.
It also sits nicely in the stand on top of the dash with out any mechanical fastening. Perfect view and I could store it in the glove box , but the wires are a problem.
I wish there was a vid input on the stereo.
