Oil Pressure!!

Well, after taking the advice from this forum, I ripped the Fram filter off my '87 F-150 and put a Mobil 1 on and I finally have decent oil pressure. Before I put the Mobil 1 on I would have normal pressure when I started driving the truck, but after about 30 miles the pressure would drop off to the edge of "normal", but now it stays right where it should.

What type of pressure gauge do you have?

BTW, I bet you would do fine with a regular Motorcraft filter, but if you run Mobil 1 motor oil you may want their filter.

I must have still had oil on the brain when I wrote Mobil 1, you are right it was a Motorcraft, nice catch.

As for the pressure gauge I notice you have an '87, but my '84 (not mine anymore) apparently has the idiot non-gauge because it would just sit there, never varied with engine speed like a real gauge. I just put a real, mechanical pressure gauge in my '95 and it is great. I recommend you do it too.
