17 F350 6.2 CCSB 4.30 gears. I only get 10 MPG (city/Hwy combo) no matter what I do in the Pittsburgh, Pa. area. I had a 2007 Silverado and got the same mileage so I figured that going in. I usually set the cruise at 75 on the turnpike so that doesn't help I'm sure but the hills in and around Pittsburgh limit me to 10 mpg no matter what I do. Even the turnpike is full of hills!
This exact type of driving has been my biggest hurdle trying to decide on the 6.2L or the 6.7L. I found a 6.7L without the "ultimate" package for the same price as a 6.2L with the "ultimate" package. Really having a hard time to commit to a new gas engine truck when my Nissan Titan tows 9500# at about 9-10MPG (towed from Allentown to Clarion and back). The hills in northeastern PA scare me when loaded though so I try to take the flattest routes possible. 10MPG on a daily drive through the hills would add up quick I think. I'd like to haul 12,000#+ from time to time so everyone says get the PSD.
