Ok here goes. I recently replaced the front wheel hub and upper and lower ball joints on the the driver side of my 2004 f250 CC SB 6.0 fx4. Now when I put into 4 wheel drive I get a grinding noise that sounds like a worn out break pad from that side only. It didn't do it before and it only happens in 4x4. I have replaced the wheel hubs before and it was fine. Also The needle bearing race on the axle is good.
If someone could give me some insight, that would be great.
Sounds like something didn't get reassembled quite right. I'd pull the lockout back off and check the snap ring on the stub shaft first. A short test drive with the lockout removed won't hurt anything.
Welcome to FTE by the way. Just an fyi your in the 6.7 engine section, we don't bite, but there is a general super duty subsection with more people that have your exact truck who may have been down your path.

Thanks for the reply. I will try your suggestion. I realised that I was in the wrong section after I posted. I couldn't figure out how to delete it. I did resubmit it I. The correct section. And thanks for the welcome.
